Photography is a mean through which I see the world and express my attitudes towards it. I listen and speak, read and write, move and watch others moving. However, seing and remembering, observing and documenting, imagining and improvising is how I find myself. The moment of taking photo cuts me off from everything that was and will be. This here and now of photographic moment is what gives me a great pleasure, excitement and relief at the same time, and not only while taking a shot, but every time I am coming back to the image.
About me in other words:
My name is Justyna Różycka. I was born in 1982 in Wroclaw, in Poland. After secondary school I started to study sociology at the University of Wroclaw. Before graduation in 2007 I had lived one year in Scotland, studied photography in Wrocław private schools and began to study Media Studies at the University of Oslo in Norway. Before getting the norwegian diploma, I travelled a few times to Latin America, Azerbaijan and Ethiopia, learned Spanish and Norwegian and met many amazing people from all over the world. Between December 2008 and July 2009 I was working and travelling in Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. In 2010 I was working as a studio photographer in an advertising, casting and film company in Poland. From the beginning of 2011 I am an individual tour leader for Latin America destinations within my own project MEDIALUNA (www.medialuna.org).
